Ghana attacker Jordan Ayew says it took him just ’10 seconds’ to make up his mind on a move to Aston Villa.
The Ghanaian completed his move to the Premier League on Monday, signing a five-year deal after a transfer from French side Lorient for an undisclosed fee.
He is seen as the replacement for Christian Benteke, who Villa sold to Liverpool last week.
“When I spoke to the coach [Tim Sherwood] I knew this was the place for me,” the Black Stars striker told his new club’s official website.
“I didn’t think twice. I knew he was the right coach for me.
“He has so much enthusiasm and determination for the game of football.
“It took 10 seconds to work out he was the right coach for me and Aston Villa was the right team for me.”
