Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry likes the look of Ghana superstar Andre Ayew.
It is not the first time the Arsenal legend has reserved special praise for the winger, whose cameo for Swansea so far has included three goals in four games.
Henry has touted the Swansea man as the signing of the summer after joining from Marseille in June on a four-year deal.
“It is great to see Stoke City get players like Xherdan Shaqiri, but I think the signing of the summer could be Swansea’s Andre Ayew,” Henry wrote in a column for The Sun.
“They got him on a free transfer from Marseille and he is really good. He will score goals, is not a typical winger, will get into the box, and is lethal in the air even though he is not tall.”
Having netted on his competitive debut in Swansea’s opening game of the season in a 2-2 draw with Chelsea, the Ghanaian went on to score against Newcastle United, before scoring and assisting in a gutsy victory against Manchester United.
Andre is expected to walk into the starting line-up again this weekend after his exertions with the Black Stars in Afcon 2017 qualifying.
